BCS (British Computer Society) are an IT institute that work closely with governments to regulate and set benchmarks for the IT Industry. Elm Workspace were asked to re-design and refurbish their Swindon Office Marketing Department whilst minimising any disruption to the work that was carried out.
What was involved?
We consulted BCS on a number of key requirements - which gave way to the final design. A need to create collaborative spaces and modernisation of the current office were paramount. We first created detailed renders of how the office would appear which you can view below. The final design included the following features:
- Height Adjustable Desking
- Myspace Lockers
- Collaboration area
- Full size whiteboard wall
- Noticeboard wall
- Feature walls and flooring
We were also required to remove and dispose of the old office fixtures and fittings.
How did the team carry this out?
To avoid any disruption to normal working hours - the team arrived on site Friday at 5pm and worked through the night to finish the furniture install and floor box moves, including the removal of the existing furniture by 12pm! This meant that the BCS had a lovely new office to arrive at on Monday morning.
What was the feedback?
The area has been incredibly well received by the client and various other departments are now using the collborative space and breakout area for meetings.
