Once again, Elm Workspace attended the largest furniture exhibition in Europe. This just one of the ways we ensure we stay at the forefront of office design trends and changes, in order to deliver the best service to our clients.
What Stood Out
Social Space is still the key focus when it comes to creating effective work environments. This includes things like soft seating booths, low and relaxed seating, and collaboration furniture. All of which can be used for collaborative working, break times and as an alternative workspace. Collaboration furniture was also big.
Leading brands on show included: Buzzisspace, Vitra, Thinking Works, Koleksiyon and Senator, to name a few.
Colours are becoming more muted with a heavy focus on naturals and greys. There was also lots of white and timber desking, with a break away from traditional desking styles.
It's clear that flexibility is key within the office environment, moving forward. For example, sit-stand desking and tables have become increasingly popular. There are also many variations of booth seating, once again encouraging us to get away from the desk. We also liked the look of the of the screen designs which allowed an ever more flexible working environment.
