An improved working environment for Goughs Solicitors

Company Sector: Commercial – Legal

Location: Chippenham

Date: January 2020

Reason/Aim of the Project:

Goughs Solicitors workforce is increasing and as a result Elm were asked to design an improved working environment for their new, much larger, Chippenham based office. It was a time of change for Goughs, as they were moving from two independently located offices into one much bigger space and were expanding their operations. Our design team created a modern and attractive working  environment- it was very important to our client that they maintained their existing staff whilst also potentially attracting new staff.

Key requirements of the project:

  • The client required Bench Desking to seat 30 people with duel monitor arms
  • The client also wanted to maximise the storage space in the office
  • The new board room table needed to accommodate up to 19 people with Credenza units

Team Comments on the project:

Our design team drastically changed an existing space plan and produced 2D/3D visuals which the client was exceptionally happy with. Alongside this our team designed and produced “setting out” drawings for Partitioning as well as Carpet Detail. Our Design team brought a touch of “The outside” into the new office space whilst considering the corporate colours and Identity.

The team also designed both Meeting and Boardrooms. We loved the fact that the Meeting room has a ‘Plecta’ shape table and the Boardroom has a Bespoke pear-shaped table. A Storage Wall was not only used to maximize the volume of storage within the office but was also used for creating partition.

Client comments:

“We are all delighted with the furniture for the new office. Everyone, without exception, is delighted with what Elm has done with the design and the finished result looks amazing”
