Sector: Renewable Energy / Logistics

Location: South West

Project Overview:

We are delighted to collaborate with our client to modernise their Reception, Meeting Rooms, Kitchen Breakout/Staff Well-being zones, and Working Spaces. This project, spanning two phases across two buildings, began with phase one—transforming the entrance/reception into a multi-branded, welcoming space, upgrading two meeting rooms, and improving the staff kitchenette.

One of the key challenges with the meeting rooms was sound travel between them. Our team conducted an in-depth analysis to reduce reverberation and enhance acoustic performance, ensuring a more effective and comfortable meeting environment.

Design & Planning

Our design team initiated the project by creating detailed 2D space plans and elevations, carefully exploring all layout possibilities. Each revision was reviewed with the client’s project team to ensure the final design aligned with budget constraints, functional requirements, and aesthetic goals.

Once layouts were approved, our designers developed 3D visuals to bring the vision to life, incorporating a cohesive colour scheme and branding elements. The team worked closely with the client to create brand-consistent wall graphics and acrylic logos while selecting materials such as acoustic panels and living moss panels to improve sound quality.

Implementation & Execution

The Elm Installation and Project Management team successfully brought the design concept to reality. Key tasks included:

  • Stripping out old elements and preparing the space for transformation.
  • Concealing surface-mounted conduit within newly built-out walls.
  • Relocating and installing additional TVs in the Reception and Kitchen Breakout areas.
  • Decorating and installing acrylic logos and wall graphics to enhance brand identity.
  • Incorporating biophilic elements through moss wall panels.
  • Enhancing acoustic performance with wall panels, ceiling tiles, and timber slat walls.
  • Delivered a clean, modern kitchenette with bespoke storage solutions to promote staff well-being and maintain a clutter-free environment.

Results

Phase one is now complete, delivering a contemporary, functional, and aesthetically pleasing workspace. Key achievements include:

  • A welcoming Entrance/Reception area that leaves a strong first impression.
  • Meeting rooms with improved acoustics, reference wall images for enhanced video conferencing, and timber slat walls for a softer ambiance.
  • A refreshed kitchenette designed to support staff well-being, featuring new furniture, bespoke storage, and integrated bin solutions.
  • The incorporation of moss walls and acoustic panels, further reinforcing a modern and comfortable work environment.

With phase one successfully completed, we look forward to continuing our work on phase two, further enhancing the workspace for our client.
