Sustainable Office Furniture

There is a variety to choose from, when purchasing Sustainable Office Furniture. Capture that “feel better” feeling when selecting products, that have been specifically designed to offer environmental benefits.

Whether you choose products that are made from recycled materials or products that have a high content of recyclable material or even, products that have been up-cycled… a decision to make conscientious purchases, are decisions to be proud of.

Reduced Adhesive, Fabric types, Materials and a product’s “cradle to grave’ carbon footprint, are all key factors when considering Sustainable Office Furniture.

Elm Workspace work with UK leading manufactures, who are all 14001 accredited. This ensures our specified products contain FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) sourced Timber.

We recommend fabrics from the range Camira Oceanic, which is a fabric born of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE This range was designed to combat marine plastic pollution and achieve a waste free environment. Would you be interested to know,  that an estimated 600 tons of waste has been cleaned from our oceans.

The range is created from post-consumer recycled plastic – debris that has been discarded in our seas to bottles thrown away and destined for landfill. One small drop in the mission to clean both the earth and its ocean, this contemporary range has a unique purpose.

It is 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, including 50% SEAQUAL® YARN.

Using your purchasing power is one of the most powerful tools for change.

Elm Workspace encourage the use of our manufacture’s schemes such as OCEE Design’s Take Back. The Take Back scheme allows us to work with our customers to responsibly remove their existing furniture, avoiding creating more waste in landfill when refitting your space.

Whether the products being removed are Ocee & Four Design products or not, we are able to provide a tailored solution in partnership with Johnsons.

And Orangebox’s Remade, which is a service offered to customers who are looking to reduce their carbon impact by making the most of their resources they already own, instead of purchasing 100% news.

It’s designed to give fresh value and additional life to existing Orangebox furniture items that have come to the end of their current use.
