What is sustainable office design?
Sustainable office design means creating a workplace that reduces its environmental impact across its whole lifecycle.
That comes down to thoughtful choices: specifying responsibly sourced and recycled materials, making the most of furniture you already own, and considering a product’s full carbon footprint before it’s ever specified.
A well-designed sustainable office doesn’t ask you to compromise on looks or function. Done well, it delivers both.
Our approach: reduce, reuse, recycle
We recognise our duty to operate responsibly, and we work to continually improve our environmental performance through the three R’s: reduce, reuse and recycle. We also encourage our customers and suppliers to do the same, because it’s sound commercial sense and because we all share a duty of care towards future generations.
How we do it
Responsibly sourced materials
We work with UK-leading manufacturers who are all ISO 14001 accredited, which means the products we specify are made with the environment in mind. The timber in our standard products is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and sourced from sustainably managed forests.
For upholstery, we recommend fabrics such as Camira Oceanic, born of the SEAQUAL Initiative. It’s 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, including 50% SEAQUAL yarn, and it was designed to help combat marine plastic pollution. Small choices like these add up to a workspace you can feel good about.

Yes, we do. We offer an office design and planning service as well as our complete refurbishment service, so you can just design and plan your space if that’s all you require. You can then take this away and arrange your project as you wish.

Each and every project is different. We work hard to deliver our projects with as little disruption to your business as possible. Where we can, we’ll work around you, including in the evenings, at weekends and more. You won’t need to move out while we do the work.
Our office refurbishment service consists of everything needed to transform your workspace from start to finish. There are two sides to our refurbishment service:
- Complete renovation – Stripping your space back and fitting from the ground up
- Updating your space – Refreshing current space, improving functionality and aesthetics
The process starts with us listening to what you need, drawing up a plan, and coming up with a design. Once the design has been agreed, we’ll move on to the installation.
